Our Families

Jake's Family

Jake is the second oldest of four children. He has 2 brothers and a sister. His parents have been married for 38 years.  Jake’s parents are hard working, loving, and are always there to step in and help when they see a need. Jake had an ideal childhood that includes memories of working with his dad and brothers on the family’s working cattle ranch, eating his mom’s Italian cooking, and celebrating birthdays and holidays with grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles. Every year Jake goes on a horse pack trip to the Wind River mountain range with his dad and brothers.  Jake shares a close and supportive relationship with his family.  The Owens’ family resides in Green River, Wyoming.

                                                                    Janalyn's Family

Janalyn is the second oldest of five children.  She has 2 brothers and 2 sisters.  Her parents have been married for 32 years.  Janalyn’s parents are very warm and open people.  They can make anyone laugh and feel comfortable. They are both gifted at teaching and helping people.  Janalyn spent her childhood playing with her pets (dogs, cats and a horse), and going to ballet lessons. Janalyn and her siblings are very close in age and close in friendship.  They seem to experience lots of things together. In fact, Janalyn and her 2 sisters were all married within 2 months of each other. Her siblings are hilarious and they are all talkers-Janalyn included!  The Hendricks’ family resides in Rexburg, Idaho.

One special way that both of our families are tied together is through Jake's sister, Heidi.  Heidi and Janalyn were roommates and friends in college.  The day that Heidi got married was also the day that Jake met Janalyn.  We took it from there, and fell in love.  Also, Jake's younger brother Alex and Janalyn's younger brother Kevin became friends and roommates in college. We feel doubly blessed that we have family and friends mixed together!
